The Highly Oriented Polyolefine (H.O.P.) woofers are lightweight, rigid, non-resonant and impervious to humidity and water for great-sounding bass. Each speaker features a 2-5/8" balanced-dome paper midrange driver providing a combination of equal parts dome and cone. It's a cone driver in that it has a conventional surround with a centered voice coil, and it's also a dome driver in that a significant part of the surface area is convex in shape. The PEI dome tweeters clearly and accurately reproduce high-frequency sounds. The 320 watts peak power handling makes these speakers great for use with an external amplifier.
